Schools may choose to describe up to two additional pieces of information about how their school is supporting students. These self-reported indicators are not factored into school accountability calculations but provide the opportunity for schools to highlight successful programs or practices in addition to the indicators included in school accountability.

INSTRUCTIONAL FACTORS

Instructional Leadership Team

The Instructional Leadership team at West High re-formed for the 2021-2022 school year, which is team comprised of teacher representatives from each department and the administration. This team leads in the development and implementation of the school-wide instructional goal and focus of academic language and literacy support. They will also lead in typical department tasks such as, but not limited to, leading PLC meetings, instructional resources, supplies, collegial support, etc. They will also work with administrators to support the department. Beginning next school year, 2022, this team also leads the implementation of the instructional vision of the school, using the vision statement and PLCs placemats. They will continuously support the faculty in building a positive school culture of support and the learning of all students. Each month will have a focus. This focus will be identified though needs of the school. These needs will be selected from PLC feedback provided to the Instructional Leader and shared with the entire Instructional Leadership Team. A focus will be addressed through supports needed to the faculty to improve instruction for all students.
