Northwest Middle School focuses on building school community with equitable opportunities for all students; preparing them with the skills and opportunities to be academically, socially, and emotionally ready for the tasks and challenges of higher education and beyond, and preparing students for lifelong community leadership.


Reading Intervention and Leadership Opportunities

Reading Intervention classes for Multiple Language Learners and all readers who meet criteria for being under the lexile level of grade appropriate reading and comprehension levels. ELP, Honors, and extended Math,Science,Language Arts, Fine Arts courses. AVID school wide strategies used to advance students skills in Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading. Social-Emotional curriculum taught in all classes. Diverse student leadership and community involved opportunities in Student Government, Trio, Mock Trial, Intramural Sports, Performing Arts, STEM activities, Robotics, Coding, AVID, and the Academic Gameplan.
