These self-reported indicators are not factored into school accountability calculations but provide the opportunity for schools to highlight successful programs or practices in addition to the indicators included in school accountability.

Targeted Action Steps
Hillside focused on decreasing the reading levels of student below grade level. We have implemented a plan using district approved and purchased reading supports to achieve this goal. We are also focused on using student data to increase our decisions on how best to instruct and provide learning strategies for our students.
PARENT & FAMILY ENGAGEMENT
Increasing our Parent and Family Engagement
Hillside is committed to increasing our school to home communications. We are inviting parents to be actively engaged in our school. To keep parents and families informed we send a monthly newsletter, emails, test messaging and phone calls with information. We also use these outlets to invite volunteers into our school.
