Schools may choose to describe up to two additional pieces of information about how their school is supporting students. These self-reported indicators are not factored into school accountability calculations but provide the opportunity for schools to highlight successful programs or practices in addition to the indicators included in school accountability.

Focus on needs of English Language Learners

Our School has a full time English Language Development (ELD) teacher. This provides us an opportunity to schedule classes for each grade level and best meet the needs of English Language Learners (ELL) at various proficiency levels. Having a full time ELD teacher also provides teachers opportunities to collaborate with her and our Literacy Coach. Together, they develop and implement strategies that best meet the needs of our students. Additionally we have paraprofessionals who provide Early Reading Intervention (ERI) with kindergarten students. These are among the things that impact student academic growth as we continue to move towards proficiency levels for each student at our school.
