SELF-REPORTED INDICATORS
Schools may choose to describe up to two additional pieces of information about how their school is supporting students. These self-reported indicators are not factored into school accountability calculations but provide the opportunity for schools to highlight successful programs or practices in addition to the indicators included in school accountability.
EQUITABLE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
Closing the Reading Achievement Gap
In an effort to close the reading gap for our low socio economic students (as classified by free and reduced lunch), teachers ran small group intervention(s) during class time at least twice per week. Progress was measured by DIBELS composite scores.
PARENT & FAMILY ENGAGEMENT
Engage Families in Science, Art, Grade Programs
Dilworth supported Science Night, Art Night and grade level arts and science programs. We provided access to weekly art, music, and science curriculum to every student in our school. These opportunities gave our students the opportunity to develop creative thinking and problem solving skills that transfer directly to their work in other content areas. Our community supports these and other programs to support our students. Once more, Dilworth achieved 100% attendance at SEP conferences.
