SELF-REPORTED INDICATORS
Schools may choose to describe up to two additional pieces of information about how their school is supporting students. These self-reported indicators are not factored into school accountability calculations but provide the opportunity for schools to highlight successful programs or practices in addition to the indicators included in school accountability.
SCHOOL-LEVEL FACTORS
Winner of "Best of Southern Utah"
For two years in a row, St. George Academy, has been recognized by the community as one of the best High School charters in Southern Utah. St. George Academy's mission is to comprehensively prepare students for a demanding college experience through an academically rigorous high school education. We provide our students more, and advanced, educational challenges in pursuit of their academic and life goals.
STUDENT FACTORS
Exclusive St. George Academy Diploma.
As a tuition-free, public high school, St. George Academy is required to meet minimum course standards for high schools in Utah. Because our mission is to prepare our students for higher education, we view the Utah State Core Standards as minimum requirements as opposed to ideal requirements. St. George Academy determines the specifics of its curriculum to best serve its student population. Since our goal is to provide our students with the best possible college and career readiness education, our school has implemented more rigorous curriculum, offering Honors, Advanced Placement®, and Concurrent Enrollment courses and requiring more coursework in the core subject areas, such as math, science, and social science, in order to receive a St. George Academy Diploma.
