SELF-REPORTED INDICATORS

Schools may choose to describe up to two additional pieces of information about how their school is supporting students. These self-reported indicators are not factored into school accountability calculations but provide the opportunity for schools to highlight successful programs or practices in addition to the indicators included in school accountability.

SCHOOL-LEVEL FACTORS

Science Specialty Class Added

This year we implemented a Science Specialty Class that focuses on the engineering process through hands-on activities. This allows the regular classroom teacher to go deeper into a concept while the specialty teacher engages the students in the ongoing, deep hands-on assignment.


TEACHER FACTORS

Tier 2/Tier 3 Intervention

Our school has implemented a "Target Time" for all grade levels. This is a 30 minute block of time dedicated to reteaching using intentional, targeted instruction for students struggling on school determined essential standards in Language Arts, Math, and Science. Along with the implementation of "Target Time", we have created a Student Intervention Team at our school. This team discusses students that are struggling with the targeted interventions and makes recommendations on teaching strategies, additional interventions to implement, or other support for students.
