EQUITABLE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

ELL students increase English acquisition skills.

Delta North Elementary School was recognized as a High Performing Exemplary Utah School because of the progress it has made with students using English: 54% making annual growth, and 20% reaching proficiency. Teachers and staff initiated a school-wide emphasis for ELL students which resulted in these gains over past school years.

Implementation of SEL curriculum

The new school counselor implemented school-wide social emotional skills curriculum. Students are instructed in research-based social emotional learning curriculum, which teaches critical social competencies, resiliency, self-management, decision making skills.
