Schools may choose to describe up to two additional pieces of information about how their school is supporting students. These self-reported indicators are not factored into school accountability calculations but provide the opportunity for schools to highlight successful programs or practices in addition to the indicators included in school accountability.

EQUITABLE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

WIDA Excellence

Students learning multiple languages take the WIDA test to demonstrate their proficiency in listening, speaking, reading and writing English. In 2020, our students scored 15% higher that the state average in making adequate progress and doubled the state average in students reaching proficiency!


PARENT & FAMILY ENGAGEMENT

Partnering with Families

We constantly solicit feedback from our families about their experience at our school as we genuinely love everyone in our school community. As partners in education, we want to learn from our families as they are intelligent, resourceful and resilient. Because of our mutual respect for one another, our families provide our school with very positive ratings. In addition to the strong relationships we build with our families, we also believe in building students' self-efficacy. Last winter, every student in our building led their parent teacher conference by talking to their family about what they were learning in writing, why it was important, and how they knew they were successful.
