Back on Track

Two Rivers High School is an alternative high school for students who are struggling at their home schools and are not on track to graduate. A school improvement plan was developed to improve student learning and success. Part of the school improvement plan is a program called Back on Track. This program is designed to help students regain lost credit by providing multiple structured opportunities and curriculum delivery options. Two Rivers High School's graduation rate has increased from 48.6% in 2018 to 81.5% in 2019.


TEACHER FACTORS

Tiered Academic Interventions

Two Rivers High School has implemented tiered academic interventions by developing a program called FIT Track. This program is a tier 3 intervention which includes online curriculum, direct instruction and other flexible learning options. A focus is also placed on credit recovery to help students get back on track. Teachers have been trained on differentiating curriculum design and delivery. They have created a digital portfolio to demonstrate the differentiated lesson plans and curriculum to support struggling learners as a tier 2 academic intervention. Two Rivers High School's graduation rate has increased from 48.6% in 2018 to 81.5% in 2019.
